Project Scope :      Mixed-Use Urban Infill Program destined to revitalize the under-developed and semi-blighted Wynwood warehouse district of Miami’s upper                                          Westside. The project is inspired by the great European French and Italian hotel plans and urban palazzos, built in the early 1600’s. These were                                   plan buildings with great private interior open-air courtyards and oasis like gardens protecting the residents from the harsh street life outside. The                                 facades maintained the street edge and served the essential function of building the urban fabric and tissue of the City streets. Here in Miami                                       strives to do same for Wynwood. The design is a façade street edge building with a base of 8,500 SF of commercial retail space at ground level                                    lining the 3-story parking structure within. The upper levels are composed of 108 live-work loft units in 116,00 SF offering young people the option                                to have their residence and place of work within the same space. The two street facades are composed with an Atrium Terrace and framed                                           windows offering panoramic views towards Downtown Miami and the Ocean. The articulation of the facades are inspired by the turn of the century                               Chicago frame buildings where the structural grid frame is expressed with infill split face block panels and industrial loft scale bay windows. Interior                               courtyard is composed with an amenity pool terrace and water wall. A sculpture podium is also provided for the Artist’s in Residence to provide                                     exhibits. The roof terrace offers 30 cabanas and garden decks for evening star gazing and panoramic views of Downtown Miami. Amenities                                            include Spa, storage, and 172 off-street parking spaces.
